A pristine piece of Granite of the granodiorite variety, very similar to that found in Yosemite. This kind of granite has a salt and pepper appearance due to a very even distribution of black biotite mica and hornblende. This kind of granite is among the most ancient. This piece has a good amount of glittering muscovite as well, seen catching the light a bit. Though common, granodiorite stands out because of its display of immaculate, highly contrasted tones.
